OCTOBER 08
Early answer to October's part (b)
question to give everyone a chance to compare the songs. All Of A
Sudden My Heart Sings was translated from the original French lyrics and
featured in the film Anchors Aweigh. When Conway Twitty issued
It's Only Make-Believe (co-written by him and Jack Nance), the authors
of My Heart Sings claimed it was a rip-off of their song. Twitty
and Nance settled out of court without making any admission.
Hi everyone…..welcome to the October quiz.
(a) This month Marguerite sets us all a challenge. She wants us to write poetry…..any
subject….funny or sad…..could be a poem, a limerick, a ditty…whatever you like. Send
your entries via the usual link and I will email them to Marguerite anonymously. (I’m
going to love this one…cos I can have a go.) She will choose the two she likes the best.
One winner will receive an Elvis CD set and the other a 60s CD set.
Answers to compo@billyfury.com
(b) And another one, just for fun this time, posed by Harry.
The two guest tracks in the October Sounds Special are both by Paul Anka. What is the
other
connection between them?
