Moya writes: "This young man was in the Fan Club in Manchester - I think his name was Terry Mathews - I had a letter from his mother telling me he was a huge Billy fan and had not got long to live. 

When Billy came to Manchester (I remember it was a Friday at Granada Studios) I picked up this boy and his wheelchair and took him with me.

Billy was so nice to him, we took him into the cafeteria and had a Coca Cola. Billy held the straw for him as he couldn't lift his arms.

Terry was absolutely thrilled to meet Billy. He died on the following Tuesday.
