Billy and I were great friends. He came to stay with us for a while and my Mum looked after him.
He was a wonderful bloke and a very talented man. I am pleased that I accompanied him on guitar on quite a few of his recordings, and I played guitar on The Sound Of Fury album. Billy's passing was a sad loss to the world of music and the world in general.
I turned up late at a theatre and because I was late, Billy had taken my spot. I walked into the theatre and I felt the tremendous power that Billy had on stage. I didn't know why people used to scream at Billy Fury until then. Link to Joe Brown's site. |
