Billy and I were great friends. He came to stay with us for a while and my Mum looked after him.

He was a wonderful bloke and a very talented man.

I am pleased that I accompanied him on guitar on quite a few of his recordings, and I played guitar on The Sound Of Fury album.

Billy's passing was a sad loss to the world of music and the world in general.

I turned up late at a theatre and because I was late, Billy had taken my spot.

I'd known Billy for some time, listened to his records and played on some of them, but I'd never seen him from the point of view of an audience.

I walked into the theatre and I felt the tremendous power that Billy had on stage.

I didn't know why people used to scream at Billy Fury until then.
