Billy's Mum

Postby Geoff H » Sat Dec 19, 2015 8:54 pm

COPIED & PASTED FROM MAGS' POST ON FB.

John and I went to visit Jean Wycherley, Billy Fury's mum in hospital yesterday, she had a fall last weekend. She asked me to let everyone know and to say that she's recovering well although she will have to wear a collar for six weeks as she cracked a small bone in her neck. She also had a very nasty cut to her head where she has six stitches, due to come out yesterday but when we left they were still there. She will be moving to respite care very soon but will be out and with close friend's for Christmas. If any of you would like to send messages please PM (via Facebook) me and I will make sure that she gets them all. xx

Haven't seen any updates. I'll get in touch with Mags and ask her.

Instant reply from Mags as follows:

She's a little better. She's still in Broadgreen Hospital and will be until she can climb at least two steps. She has a stairlift but it only goes to a small landing and then she has two more stairs to negotiate. Bad planning really. Her eyesight seems to be getting worse, she can't see to read anymore and can't see the TV in the hospital as it's too small. It's really depressing her as you can imagine.

I've asked Mags to pass on all our love from the message board.
