Oh won't you stay...

Postby Harry » Fri Mar 27, 2009 5:24 pm

I know this are very early days, but I seem to have a hotel to fill.

There are 31 rooms at the Innkeeper's Lodge, Northampton East, and we now officially have all of them reserved for the nights of March 19, 20 and 21, 2010.

We will get them ALL at the 3-for-2 rate, which means that it will cost under £80 per room in total for three nights' bed and breakfast.

If the hotel maintains its present prices, the carvery will also be available for only a fiver before 7pm, making this a very cheap weekend break by anyone's standards.

Obviously, I'm now quite keen to get the rooms filled, so I am offering them first of all to folk on the forum.

You cannot book any rooms for those nights - even at full price - directly through the Innkeeper's Lodge website.

If you would like to reserve one or more rooms for you, please email me. In October or November, you will need to provide a credit or debit card number to confirm the booking, but there will be nothing to pay until the day of arrival.

All I need now is the name of one person who will be responsible for each room or set of rooms.

The rooms are all doubles (ie there are no twins) and some have a put-you-up that can be used only by a child. The hotel bent their rule to allow a third adult in one of the rooms this year, but they will not do so again.

Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're NOT all out to get me.

That's not bad - a quarter of the rooms spoken for already.

I was just browsing through the Innkeepers Lodge site and it seems that the "book 2 nights get one free" offer ends at the end of November. I also checked out the weekend before ours for 2 nights and it came up just a few pence short of £100 so it has gone up a bit. Still great value. :)

Ignore anything on the Innkeepers Lodge site. We have been guaranteed a deal.

It's a just-in-case reservation that I've been asked to make.

So are you volunteering to be the one who keeps an eye on her next time, Jean?
