Innkeepers Lodge

Postby Harry » Sat Mar 13, 2010 12:57 pm

I've just been speaking to Jenny, the new manager at the Innkeepers Lodge - she's a Billy Fury fan!

She's really enthusiastic, and I can tell we are going to have A BALL.
Just direct your feet to the Sunnyside of the street.

SUNNYSIDE 10, MARCH 19-21 2010

Thank you for booking for Sunnyside 10, which I trust will be another tremendous success, full of friendship and great music.

The 2010 Saturday headliners are one of Britain’s top rock ‘n’ roll bands, Colin Paul and the Persuaders, and at present, we have a host of superb bands and solo artists to support them.

Top of the bill on Friday night are Creeping Bentgrass.

The weekend’s events start on Friday March 19 at the Innkeepers Lodge Northampton East, Talavera Way, Round Spinney, Northampton NN3 8RN.

Those who are staying at one of the Innkeepers Lodge hotels can check in to their rooms from 3pm. If you arrive early, the meeting room at the Northampton East hotel will be available for socialising from about 1pm.

The hotels have all-day carveries that currently cost £5 until 7pm and £7 thereafter.

At 7pm on Friday, we will hold our traditional free jam session in the meeting room at the Innkeepers Lodge East. This is normally open to all and in normal circumstances, your admission band should not be needed.

On Saturday March 20, the focus is on the Sunnyside Inn, Boughton Green Road
Northampton, NN2 7AG, where Billy Fury made his last public appearances, in December, 1982.

Admission will, as usual, be open to all from about 1pm until shortly before 5pm, when live music is due to start.

Please cooperate by using your wristband, which is the official “ticket”, from 4pm.

A wristband or a performer’s stage pass will be the only authorised means of admission on Saturday.

A souvenir badge is being produced to match those supplied in previous years and will be supplied free of charge at the event, but wearing it will not authorise admission.
Just direct your feet to the Sunnyside of the street.

One tip for anyone who hasn't been before, who is using sat nav, is to use the postcode, rather than the address, as a Tomtom satnav will take you to the wrong end of Talavera Way.

I'm hoping I can get a replacement wrist band for Jane, I have had the house upside down. I have the accompanying letter but no wristband. She may have to watch the fun from the car park.

Actually Dean, we exchanged emails about this a few weeks ago - there's no problem at all. I'm looking forward to seeing you and Jane again on Friday.
