All other reports from meetings at Mill Hill and the Liverpool statue can now be found here. STATUE
|
MILL HILL Everyone meets at the grave at around 1pm on the Sunday nearest to his death (January 28), the Sunday nearest to his birthday (April 17) and again at the end of September or beginning of October. Visitors are welcome to bring flowers or message cards to leave on the grave. Afterwards, those attending can meet in a nearby church hall. I have been asked to request that people walking from the grave to the church hall use the roads, and do not take a short cut over fields. |

TO REACH PADDINGTON CEMETERY, MILL HILL |
||||
| By tube: Take the Northern Line (black on the plans) north to Finchley Central on the Barnet branch. It is three miles to the cemetery, but there is a freephone taxi number in the booking hall. Don't make the mistake of going to Mill Hill East station, as there are no taxis, and it is a long walk to the cemetery. |
By bus: London Red bus number 221 stops at the bottom of Milespit Hill/Pursley Road. The bus runs from Edgware/Turnpike Lane. Bus/tube latest information: Telephone London Transport travel on 020 7222 1234. If you find that any of these details are out of date, please let me know, as I can update them instantly. |

| By car: Leave the M1 at junction 2, joining the Great North Way (A1). After about a mile, go left into Holders Hill Road (B552). After a further mile, you will come to a roundabout called Holders Hill Circus. Turn left here into Devonshire Road, which becomes Sanders Lane. After about half a mile, there is a school and bus stop on the left, and Milespit Hill is on the right. Turn into Milespit Hill. The cemetery entrance gates are on the right after a quarter of a mile. Go through the gates, turn left and go to the top of the rise. The memorial bench is on the left and Billy's grave is on the right. |

| Turn left as you leave the cemetery, then turn left again at the bottom of Milespit Hill. Take the first turning on the left when in the main road (Pursley Road). The church and hall are on the right as you enter Salcombe Gardens. | ||||
